StanCorp Financial Group is also the holding company for Standard Insurance Company, The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York, StanCorp Mortgage Investors, LLC, a commercial loan underwriter, and Standard Management, Inc. which is the parent company for StanCorp Equities, Inc., a limited broker dealer that does not execute transactions or collect commissions.

StanCorp Investment Advisers joined the family of subsidiaries under the StanCorp Financial Group umbrella in May 2000 to facilitate offering investment expertise developed as an in-house investment operation for Standard Insurance Company.
